The ”Kindest Regards” letter was written in November of 1863 by Alfred H. Love, of Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Love was a dedicated Pacifist and an abolitionist. Additionally, he advocated for the land rights of Native Americans and was a proponent of women’s suffrage.
